History

Arley Hall & Gardens is a stately home with immense character and charm. It is with great thanks to Lord Ashbrook and his family that the doors of Arley have been opened for the enjoyment of the public.  This is an estate with wonderful story which includes visitors such as Napoleon III in the winter of 1847-48, secrets such as the hidden bathroom behind the panelling of the Emperor’s Room bedroom and the quirky architecture in the form of barrel shaped ceilings.  Please see the Arley visitor site for a short history of the Hall.

Between the 19th Century Hall, modern Olympia barn and the award-winning Gardens there is so much for you to see and be inspired by.  Our team know all about the venue and will happily share stories and historic facts with you and your guests.

We are delighted to be able to invite you to hold your event at Arley so that you too can become a part of the history.
